Task Board Terms of Service

1 Who we are

Task Board™ is a product of The Code Guy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09407392).

When we say "Task Board", "we", "us", or "our", we mean The Code Guy Ltd. When we say "you" or "your", we mean you, the person or organisation using Task Board.

2 What you're agreeing to

By using Task Board, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know by email or by posting a notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

3 The service

Task Board is a task management tool with Kanban boards and built-in time tracking. We provide it "as is" and work hard to keep it available, but we can't promise 100% uptime.

We may:

• Add, change, or remove features
• Set usage limits
• Suspend or discontinue the service (with reasonable notice where possible)

4 Your account

You need an account to use Task Board. You're responsible for:

• Keeping your login details secure
• Everything that happens under your account
• Making sure anyone you invite to your workspace follows these Terms

5 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Task Board for anything illegal
• Try to access other users' data without permission
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the service
• Upload malicious code or interfere with the service
• Pretend to be someone else

We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

6 Your data

You give us permission to store, process, and display your data as needed to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle personal data.

7 Payment and billing

Some features require a paid subscription. If you're on a paid plan:

• Prices are shown before you subscribe
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel
• We use Stripe to process payments — we don't store your full card details
• Refunds are at our discretion, but we try to be fair

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

8 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel:

• You keep access until the end of your current billing period
• Your data stays available for 30 days after cancellation, then we delete it
• You can export your data before deletion

We can terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with immediate effect for serious breaches.

9 Intellectual property

Task Board™, including the name, logo, design, and code, belongs to The Code Guy Ltd.

You may not use our branding without written permission, except to say you use our service.

10 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We provide Task Board "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim

This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

11 Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of Task Board or breach of these Terms.

12 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
